   Welcome to Blenheim

The largest town in the Marlborough Sounds region, Blenheim's population is around 29,000. It is only 29km South of Picton.

Blenheim is gateway to one of the country's finest wine-growing regions. Excellent wines are produced in this region, Cloudy Bay, Hunters, Nautilus, Stoneleigh, Montana and Cellar Le Brun are exported all around the world.

There are plenty of walks around the area including the Wairau lagoon walk and the Wither Hills walkway, a network of trails over the hills behind Blenheim, offering expansive views of the town and surrounding areas.

There's white water rafting, plenty of arts and craft trails and Rainbow Ski area is only one and a half hours West of Blenheim with local transport available to take you there.

During the second week in February Blenheim hosts the now-famous Marlborough Food and Wine Festival at Montana's Barncott Estate.
